Water- for the most vital of all natural resources, we sure do waste a lot of it. Many people all over the world do not have clean drinking water, or water for other necessities that we take for granted. More people have mobile phones than clean drinking water... which is a giant problem. I did a project on toilets in Africa, which opened my eyes to the water problem.
Many people (like Matt Damon) have organizations that strive to give everyone access to clean water and sanitary bathrooms. (Check out Water.org for more information) The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation has a contest where people design a new and innovative toilet that can benefit areas that don't have a lot of water. (Here is a link to the contest: Re-inventing the Toilet)
Remember- you can help people by giving to these foundations!

Exotic Pets
If you could have any pet, what would you want? I'm guessing your not thinking of a dog or cat. When this question comes up the answers are likely going to be along the lines of sharks, lions, bobcats, dolphins, kangaroos, pandas, boa constrictors, and other exotic animals that we love seeing in zoos.
Many of these animals are bought when the are young and raised for three months to three years before they get big. I'm not talking German Sheppard big, I'm talking 11 foot killer snake big, or 6 foot lion big. Although these cute and majestic animals may seem like a good idea, the stories almost always end in death. Maybe you got a little to close to the cage and looked a whole lot like a yummy dinner, or you went away for a week and your pet starved itself because it was too attached.
Wild animals should be kept in the wild and in their own habitat to mitigate disasters concerning biodiversity loss.

You don't have to fly to Singapore to learn about how we can help, but you do need to take it seriously to make it work. Helping the environment is not an "Every other month" thing, it is an "Always" thing. You may not think that out of 7 billion+ people you are the one that makes the difference, but that is true. Make the difference and you won't need to mourn about the past.

Things you never knew about Recycling
Did you know:
Recycling 1 ton of mixed paper saves the energy equivalent of 185 gallons of gasoline?
Recycling aluminum creates 97% less water pollution than making new metal from ore?
A recycled aluminum can can be back on the shelf in 60 days?
63.4 percent of paper was recycled in 2009, an all-time high, according to the American Forest & Paper Association. 2009 was the first year the rate was over 60 percent?
It has been estimated that recycling, re-use, and composting create six to ten times as many jobs as waste incineration and landfills?
Making a ton of paper from recycled paper saves up to 17 trees and uses 50 percent less water than does creating paper from virgin pulp?

Start a GREEN revolution!
With your help, we can all make the world a better place! There are tons of Simple things you can do everyday to help protect the world!
- Instead of throwing Plastics, Papers, and some metals into the garbage, you can Recycle them, so we don't have to waste precious resources when we can actually re-use them
- Ask for Paper bags from the grocery store, instead of Plastic Bags, that take longer to decompose once they reach the landfill

Great Vegetarian/Vegan websites
Being vegetarian/vegan is really good for the environment because killing animals for food is hurtful to the environment. Many species of fish have gone extinct because of commericial fishing for fish meat- espiecially in sushi. Every one can make a difference by standing up for this cause, even if it is just for a month, or a couple of days. I encourage you to visit these sites.
